Rocco Pirozzolo is Managing Director and Underwriting Director of Harbour Underwriting Limited. A solicitor by training, with experience in commercial litigation gained in private practice, he has spent over two decades underwriting insurance for legal disputes worldwide.

A leading figure in the dispute resolution community since 2003, Rocco has sat on Civil Justice Council forums and working parties and has chaired the Association of British Insurers’ Legal Expenses Committee. He is General Editor of The Law Society’s Litigation Funding Handbook and co-author of the legal expenses insurance chapter in Friston on Costs. He was instructed as an expert by The Law Society before the Supreme Court in Coventry v Lawrence [2015], is ranked Band 1 in the Chambers and Partners Litigation Support 2025 guide, and is included in Lawdragon’s 2025 list of 100 Global Leaders in Litigation Finance.
